Glori Short, M.D.

Even at a young age, Dr. Glori Short always wanted to be a doctor. She realized that dream when she earned her Medical Degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in 1993. She completed her residency training at Memorial Mission Hospital in Ashville, North Carolina.

Near and dear to Dr. Short’s heart is participating in Medical Missions locally and abroad. She and her family make several trips during the year to provide health care to those who are in most need.

“I believe that each one of us can make a difference in the lives of others, one person at a time. It is important to me that patients’ see in me a servant’s heart who is used as an instrument of the Great Physician.”

Dr. Short is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has special clinical interests in Teen Pregnancy, Hormone Replacement Therapy, and Urodynamics. She has been published in national and international medical journals. Dr. Short’s surgical expertise in pelvic floor reconstruction and incontinence has allowed her to teach other physicians across the country.

Dr. Short and her husband, Jon, have three biological children, Patton, Hayden and Reagan. Their adopted children are Danisa, James and Jon, all from Haiti, and Faith, who is from Kenya.
